Trip to Bali from India with Baby

We planned our second international trip with 9month old infant and this one was to Bali along with our senior citizen parents.

We chose September month which was good. We explored Semniyak, kuta, Uluwatu, Nusa Dua Beach (Where you can first have some snacks/food at a coffee shop called Kopi Petani) and Ubud.

The best experience was at Semniyak and Nusa Dua. We selected places which are less tiresome. The worst experience was visiting Uluwatu where we went to the famous monkey temple, travel was waste of time.

We could have given couple of days to Ubud as we couldn’t explore it much as we just travelled to and from within a day.

Beaches at Seminiyak were much better and cleaner than Kuta. Food joints and street market at Kuta we loved. Cab is affordable. Download the local app (grab or gojek) and you should be set.

Getting Around Bali + Tips

By Scooter starts at 50,000 IDR/ INR 268/ USD 4 per day,

By Taxi they start at around 500,000 IDR/ INR 2,686/ USD 34 per day (8 hours)

We recommend if we are travelling with babies choose only 2 places max for 5-6days. Recommended places would be Nusa Dua and Ubud.

Nusa Dua for its amazing resorts and beaches. Ubud for its greenery. We avoided all the touristy places and speed boat ride to nusa peninda island. Instead take some time out for exploring Canggu or Semniyak areas.

Bali we travelled with own stroller everywhere and except beaches it was all fine as pavement are available by road side for strollers.

Sunscreen and mosquito mesh should be kept.

Carry some pureed juice and homemade cerelac.

Carry less cloth as laundry is available at every roads side corner at cheapest rate. We loved the massages and laundry service!

Definitely try Bintang! As we went with parents we enjoyed some baby free time exploring nice club spots.

Happy travels!
